Merchandiser

Primesource is also one of the largest distributors of building products in the U.S., offering a complete line of roofing, insulation, drywall, sheathing, builders hardware, pneumatic tools and compressors, concrete accessories, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure product is in stock and available for customers to purchase. This involves downstocking product (up to 50lb) from the overhead locations.
Establish relationships with key personnel at each customer location (store manager, assistant manager, department manager, receiving manager, Inventory Management Associate).
Fully implement and maintain cross merchandising as set forth by ISSM management.
Identify additional sales and profit opportunities within the store and communicate this information to ISSM
Communicate any urgent or critical situations to ISSM immediately.
Complete service call report for each store visit with a signature from Department Head, Assistant Store Manager, or Store Manager. Inform store management that you are in the store and what tasks you have completed for them.
Maintain call schedules established by ISSM.
Call in and out at every store and check voice mail system.
Re-label or reinstall shelf talkers, cartons, signage, nail boards, product literature, etc., as needed to insure PrimeSource merchandise is always professionally displayed and appealing to the customer.
Repair and/or replace damaged merchandise.
Coordinate merchandise returns.
Make product suggestions to manager and evaluate product mix.
Conduct product knowledge meetings with local store personnel.
Have full product knowledge of the line carried by each store.
Have excellent communication skills, and excellent rapport with each stores' associates and managers.
Attend customer events when they pertain to our company and product line. This includes product knowledge sessions, tool demonstrations, contractor/customer selling events, open house/grand openings, etc.
Sign in and out of vendor log at each store visit.
Check on open orders, do random inventory checks and check for bar code violations.
Update all price labels every 90 days without exceptions.
Ability to use mobile ordering cart and use all functions relating to our product line.
Execute set up and display of special promotions and new items (wingstacks, imports, new product roll outs, etc…).
New store set up responsibilities – including installation of steel beams (racking), display of entire product line, obtaining cross merchandising, installing POP, meeting store management team, checking on backup orders, and ensuring completion prior to deadlines.
Store Resets – involves removing all products from display, moving steel beams (racking), returning product to new display location, installation of new POP, and price labels.
Merchandising occasionally requires – travel outside local area, overnight stays, overnight work, and weekend work.
Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly, and climb step ladders up to 20 ft
Other tasks as assigned by ISSM management.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
