Maintenance Programs Specialist - AIRCRAFT

Maintenance Programs reports to the Director, Engineering and Maintenance Programs and is responsible for the content and administration of the Airlines Boeing 747-CLASSIC & 747-400 Maintenance and Inspection Programs. Activities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
1. Aircraft Phase-ins: Primary coordinator between Engineering, Planning and Records departments. Gather and perform records review, perform bridging analysis and publish Maintenance Program Change (MPC) document. Provide assurance that aircraft introduced into the fleet are properly phased in to the respective maintenance program and that they are compliant with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
2. Maintenance Program Revisions: Independently or in coordination with the respective functional area engineer, provide continuous update of the respective maintenance program. Includes Airworthiness Directive/Service Bulletin dissemination, appropriate MRI/MSI task establishment and the writing and publication of MPC documents.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all requirements in the respective Maintenance and Inspection Program (MIP) Manual satisfy Atlas requirements, manufacturer recommendations, FAA directives and FAA regulations.
4. MIP Manual Revisions: In coordination with Document Services, assure that MIP Manual revisions are accurate and published in a timely manner.
5. Managerial: Supervision of the Maintenance Programs Specialist with delegation of Manager's responsibilities as required.
6. Various Projects: Performed as assigned by the Director, Engineering and Maintenance Programs.
7. Coordinate Maintenance Program changes between carriers in order to maintain program similarities.

Key Objectives (Metrics):
1. Work Instruction Cards:
Develop and revise work instruction cards that translate the maintenance task requirements of the respective maintenance program into work instructions that are used in the performance of aircraft maintenance. Coordinate the technical content of work instruction cards with the respective functional area engineer and with Quality Control personnel.
2. WICS (Work Instruction Card System) Database:
Maintain integrity of database and the associated task-to-work instruction card relationships

Key Objectives (Activities):
1. MSG-3 Based Maintenance Programs:
From MRB document, DOT regulations, FAA regulations and service experience, develop, substantiate and publish a new MIP manual, provide program bridging and devise methodology for the production and upkeep of work instruction cards.
2. General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Revisions:
Provide documented policies, procedures and forms in area of responsibility for inclusion into GMM and Master Forms Manual.
