About You:
You will be part of the team that is responsible for developing our brokerage-customer database, middle-tier servers, and related internal web applications. Your software will provide customers with the means to apply for a brokerage account and to manage an existing account. It will also support a browser-based application that is made available internally to provide customer-related functions required by our compliance, customer service, cashiering, audit, and operations groups. The team also provides systems that publish customer account configuration information in real-time to the brokerage order-entry system and the market data delivery system.
You will be critical to the growth of our brokerage business model and our customer base. This position is also an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of both brokerage activities as well as to extend your expertise in developing large-scale and real-time database systems.
Duties for this position will include the design, development, and support of Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, scheduled batch processing, and Java applications, servers, and web applications. A successful candidate will also be highly analytical and adept at solving complex problems.
Key Requirements:
* Strong fundamental knowledge of SQL and relational database design
* Strong object oriented programming experience in Java
* Strong modeling skills
* Strong experience with best software development practices
* Proven day-to-day programming ability
* Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communications
* Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science
* At least three years of professional programming experience.
* Experience with Unix/Linux development
Ideal Requirements:
* Experience with PL/SQL and other Oracle technologies
* Experience with EJB Servers (particularly JBoss), Tomcat, Spring
* Experience with development and support of a 24x7 n-tier website
Compensation:
$100,000 - $150,000 base plus bonus and restricted stock grants
