Description: Under direction, develops manages and maintains the GE Centricity Business practice management software; provides application support for the GE CB practice management system; supports the implementation of new practices onto the Centricity Business scheduling and practice management system; participates in the testing of new software; troubleshoots problems in existing software; participates in the planning and testing of new software as well as other third party vendor software used in conjunction with the Centricity Business scheduling and practice management system; advise other GE CB application support analysts; organizes the GE Centricity Business system applications; assists the Senior GE CB application support manager in coordinating upgrades, testing and implementation of new application features and modules; supports manager in planning and implementing POBO Information System initiatives; assists with maintenance and processing of inbound and outbound interfaces including the ITS support Enterprise Calendar interface and various scheduling, registration and remittance interfaces; supports the use and development of standard and custom DBMS and/or Cognos reports; maintains documentation and procedure manuals; performs other job related duties as required.
Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration or healthcare related field (combination of computer-related technical training and successively increasing information systems management responsibility may substitute for degree); must have five years of progressively responsible related information systems experience with automated practice management systems; previous experience with GE Centricity Business preferred; must have understanding of major regulatory requirements including HIPAA compliance, CPT, ICD9 codes, charge entry and claims submissions and remittance processes; HL7 and XML knowledge helpful; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organization and communication skills.
