Our client, one of the main European financial services companies, is seeking a Sr. Project Manager Location: New York, NY
Fulltime Position This position is part of the Markets Americas business line. Within the Business Line in the Americas, the position is for a Senior Level Project Manager focusing on Front Office IT tools and is part of the US Management team RESPONSIBILITIESThis individual will assist business line managers develop and execute key projects within the Americas, with a specific focus on building the optimal front office trading applications and infrastructure needed to build their businesses. Initially, the focus of the Project Manager will be with focusing on the Fixed Income & Currencies business where the team is developing multiple growth initiatives including the launch of a Primary Dealership, the expansion of High Grade Corporate Bond trading and both products link to a new Back Office system (Broadridge). The project manager will work closely with the business line to determine the proper tools and booking methodology needed for successful sales and trading. The project manager will liaise with the various resource teams (Technology, Operations, and Accounting) to develop an appropriate infrastructure. In the medium term, the Project Manager will also work on a broader array of assignments outside the business, including but not limited to, Commodities, Equity Flow, and Treasury. SKILLS/COMPETENCIESRequired/Must have:
* Strong organizational skills
* deep knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities marketplace
* strong knowledge of technology and systems for booking/trading these instruments PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCERequired/Must have: 10 years in Institutional Securities business performing similar work. EDUCATIONRequired/Must have: Bachelors degree
